Arxontiko Taygeti is located in Taygeti, the nearest village to the castle of Mystras. We are 230km. away from Athens (approximately 2 ½ hours drive) and 5km. away from Neo Mystras and 10km. away from Sparta .
Arxontiko Taygeti Guesthouse overlooks Byzantine Mystras and the valley of the Evrotas river, in addition to the city of Sparta and the surrounding villages as far as Mount Parnona, whereas in the West, it enjoys wonderful views of Mount Taygetos.
The village of Taygeti is located at an altitude of 700m., driving in a mountain trail with a magnificent view of the Byzantine Castle of Mystra and the plains of Evrotas we reach the village with its abundance of mountain springs, streams and chapels.
It is an ideal base for those who enjoy nature. It is crossed by many walking trails as well as the famous E-4 that goes to the villages of Perganteika and Anavriti. Arxontiko Taygeti is housed in a beautiful traditional 19th century two story stone building that was builded and owned by the Dimitrakakis family.
The building was renovated with respect to its character by the architect Georgios Giaxoglou and converted into a guesthouse by the family. The building consists of 2- two story townhouses with a stone-paved courtyard, balconies and a patio. Each townhouse has it’s individual theme such as the staxia (wheat), and Lefkaki.
It features air-conditioned rooms, flat screen TV’S, fully equipped kitchens, free Wi-Fi in entire building and free private parking. Both units have a seating area to relax in after a busy day. Enjoy a cup of coffee from your balcony or patio.
The rooms come with a private bathroom. For your comfort, you will find free toiletries and a hairdryer. Breakfast items including coffee, tea, honey, jam and bread, cookies and eggs, so that guests can prepare their own breakfast, are offered in the units.
