The guest house, Archontiko Kefalari is located in the village Kefalari in the mountainous Korinthia region. Its story begins when in 1880, Georgios Roumpekas, resident of Kefalari built this special building paying particular attention to its architectural style, in the shade of a perennial tree next to the central square of the village.
The passing of time has made the guest house more charming, and all the elements that made it special in the 19th Century have remained intact: the hand crafted stones, the specially selected wooden details, the individually crafted iron corners, the arches, the internal patio, and the 90 cm thick walls.
With love and respect for the place of origin, the owners tried taking extra care of all the details and with the help of the specialized mechanical engineer- Professor Apostolos Parpairis, to preserve all the traditional elements of the building. They renovated the building in 2006 transforming it into a traditional guest house providing all mod cons, ideal for romantic and relaxing holiday all year around.
Attempting to offer a particular aesthetic value to the space they meticulously selected custom made iron beds, hand crafted carved furniture, hand blown glass lighting, lace curtains, art works, and romantic style details.
Throughout Arhontiko Kefalari and in particular regarding the heating and the hot water boiler installation, it has been used equipment appropriate for saving energy and compliant with the values of renewable energy sources.
Arhontiko Kefalari is family friendly guest house. The aim is for you to feel a real warmth and sense of hospitality offered generously by us, from the first moment you enter, and to enjoy a cosy environment with a century-long history.
