Tyros Beach, in recent years it has developed into an important summer resort with good infrastructure for a comfortable stay of the guests, with easy access and at a distance of 75 km. from Tripoli, 21 of the Astros and 190 km. from Athens.
The seaside village is one of the three settlements of Tyros (the others are mountainous village built on the slopes of Mount Parnon and Kato Tyros, just below).
The large beach, almost two kilometers from the most beautiful in the Peloponnese is ideal for swimming and water sports, the rich vegetation and the beautiful natural landscape complement the excellent image of the area. It has also a small theater used for cultural events in the summer.
Just south of the beach, in village Sapounakeika kept in place Castle ruins of an ancient castle (3rd century BC.), Which is probably identical to the ancient city of Tyros, archaeological findings which are kept in Leonidio Town Hall.
